An organization is an example of human centered system. In this context, a system commonly consists of the surrounding environment, the individuals working in the organization, and agreed principles and objectives. System's conditions, in other words the design and management of work in a system, can fundamentally affect the qualities and effectiveness of the system. Such is the situation especially in knowledge work, where interactions and interdependencies between people within the system are often complex.

In this session, Hermanni will discuss system's conditions in the context of software development: why they exist, what they are, some common examples, why they are relevant for agile teams and what is needed to change them.
